Track Tours at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway

explore the home of "The Greatest spectacle in racing"

Track tours offer guests a behind-the-scenes look at the world’s most famous racecourse. Depending on the tour, destinations can include the iconic Pagoda, Victory Podium, and even the legendary Yard of Bricks.

Museum admission is required to take a track tour. When clicking the “Tickets” button below, you must reserve your Museum time before the tour tickets will appear.

Tour schedules are subject to change without notice due to weather or track activity. We make every effort to update our schedule in real-time and notify reservation holders of any changes. We still run Track Tours in the rain, but severe weather may also result in tour cancellations. Guests are encouraged to call or email before their visit to confirm availability and reserve their tour on the schedule.

Contact our Tour Department at tours@imsmuseum.org for any questions.

Golf Cart tours

The Golf Cart Tour is our most in-depth and intimate tour of the Indianapolis Motor Speedway grounds, showcasing restricted backstage areas, the 2.5-mile oval, and all major IMS landmarks. This 90-minute driving tour is a uniquely personalized experience, featuring one-on-one conversation with only our most knowledgeable tour guides.

Our Golf Cart Tour will take you behind the scenes to the Pagoda, Gasoline Alley, Victory Podium, the Snake Pit, and more. On days that the track is not in use, the tour also includes a lap around the legendary IMS oval with a stop at the start/finish line to kiss the bricks.
