We can’t wait to welcome your FFA group to the Indianapolis Motor Speedway Museum! For years, the IMS Museum has welcomed FFA groups to see our historic cars and take track tours around the iconic Indianapolis Motor Speedway.
The Museum’s mission is to celebrate and preserve the history behind the Indianapolis Motor Speedway and Indianapolis 500. Through this educational visit, students will learn how racing and science, technology, engineering, art, and math connect.

Friday, Oct. 23: Kiss the Bricks tour (This is a rain date for an IndyCar test and may change to a Victory Podium tour.)

Tours depart every 15 minutes. The “Kiss the Bricks” tour is a narrated, 30-minute bus tour that features one lap around the famous 2.5-mile oval with a stop at the Yard of Bricks. The “Victory Podium” tour features a bus trip through the Garage Area and a stop in the Pagoda, finishing atop Victory Podium where the winners celebrate.
Upon arrival, FFA groups will load onto buses in front of the Museum for their tour and be dropped off on the west side of the Museum once it is over. From there, groups will be able to enter the Museum on the lower level and are free to explore the galleries.

Where do we check in for our tour?
There will be a ticketing trailer for check-in located at the curb directly in front of the Museum on the right-hand side.
Where will our buses park once we reach the Museum?
Parking will be available for buses in the Museum’s East lot. Guests will then proceed toward the ticketing trailer in front of the Museum for check in.
What do I need to check in for my reservation?
When you reach the ticketing trailer, simply provide the name of the contact that made the reservation and/or the name of your FFA Chapter.
How soon should we arrive before our reserved tour time?
We recommend arriving at the Museum no later than 15 minutes prior to any scheduled tour time.
Will there be any additional offerings for FFA groups inside the Museum itself?
Our education team will have hands-on activities and artifact carts available throughout the Museum for FFA guests to experience, along with access to our STEAM Innovation Workshop. You will also have full access to the entire Museum after your tour is over until the Museum closes.
Is there any place to eat lunch at the Speedway?
There are no dining facilities either in the Speedway or the Museum. However, if you pack your own lunches, there is a modest picnic area in front of the small building adjacent to our Museum on the left-hand side. Otherwise, snack and soft drink vending machines are available on the Museum’s lower level in the Track Lounge.
Why is the "Kiss the Bricks" tour not available for select dates during the week of the FFA convention?
IndyCar will be conducting a test on our oval on both October 21st and 22nd. This will preclude us from operating our normal track tours. Instead, we will be offering our “Victory Podium” tour, which will offer guests a narrated trip through our infield with a final stop on Victory Podium, which offers a stunning vantage point of the Speedway’s front straightaway, pit lane, and any on track action that may be taking place during your visit.
Can we do the Museum only without participating in any tour programming?
Yes, you are more than welcome to only visit the Museum. Admission only for FFA groups will be a flat $18 per guest.
Is there any chance of tour cancellations due to weather?
While tour delays/cancellations cannot be completely ruled out, we are still able to conduct tours as normal rain or shine. Mitigating factors will include severe weather and/or lighting in the proximity of the Speedway.
Are walkups welcome for the tour and the Museum?
Reservations are strongly recommended to guarantee your spot on one of our track tours. However, while ticket supplies last, there will be a modest number of accommodations for walk-ups interested in doing both a tour and a walkthrough of the Museum.
