1995 Winner

Young Jacques Villeneuve participated in only two Indianapolis 500-Mile Races, but he recorded finishes of second in 1994 and first in 1995. On both occasions he drove Australian Barry Green’s  Cosworth V8–powered Reynard cars with their  distinctive downward-sloping front wings. In 1995, Villeneuve’s Players-sponsored winning car was numbered 27, the number so strongly associated with his late father, Ferrari driver Gilles Villeneuve.
