An Evening with Janet Guthrie

Janet Guthrie, the first woman to qualify and compete in both the Indianapolis 500 and Daytona 500, is visiting the Museum for the next “An Evening With” speaker series event.
In 1977, Guthrie qualified 26th in the Indianapolis 500, cementing her place as the first female qualifier in “500” history. Guthrie made more “500” history a year later by finishing ninth, the best finish by a female until Danica Patrick finished fourth in 2005.
“An Evening with Janet Guthrie” will feature an in-depth discussion about her pioneering racing career. Following the discussion, guests can engage in a Q&A.
The program begins at 6 p.m., doors open at 5:30 p.m.
Cost: $60 for members | $75 for non-members
Complimentary hors d’oeuvres included with ticket purchase, cash bar available.
