Two-time Indianapolis 500 winner Arie Luyendyk is visiting the Museum for the next “An Evening With” speaker series event.
Luyendyk, nicknamed “The Flying Dutchman”, won the “500” in 1990 and 1997. His 1990 car is on display in the main level John H Holliday Family Winners Gallery in the Museum. His accomplished racing career also includes a win at the Daytona 24 Hours in 1998 and 12 Hours of Sebring in 1989.
“An Evening with Arie Luyendyk” will feature an in-depth discussion about his racing career and the release of his memoir, Arie Luyendyk: The Biography of a Unique Racing Life. Following the discussion, guests can engage in a Q&A and then a meet-and-greet session where attendees can purchase a signed copy of his book.
The program begins at 6 p.m., doors open at 5:30 p.m.
