Update: May 11 Speedway Cars & Coffee Available to Custom, Classic Cars and Motorcycles

Event Paired with INDYCAR GP Discount Ticket Offer; Tickets Must Be Picked Up at IMS

Tickets and parking passes remain available for the special-edition Speedway Cars & Coffee at Indianapolis Motor Speedway Museum on Saturday, May 11. The Museum and Indianapolis Motor Speedway have joined forces to create a Cars & Coffee gathering and discount ticket for the INDYCAR Grand Prix, the NTT IndyCar Series race on the 2.439-mile IMS road course.

This unique event is limited to the first 100 registered cars or motorcycles, due to event parking restrictions within the IMS Grounds for the INDYCAR GP event, which takes place on a  fast road course that NTT IndyCar Series drivers rate as one of their favorites.

Parking passes and discounted INDYCAR GP tickets for Speedway Cars & Coffee guests must be purchased online at this link: www.ims.com/carsandcoffee.

As of May 4, anyone purchasing tickets and/or parking passes must pick them up at the IMS Ticket Office prior to the event. The ticket office is open 8 a.m.-6 p.m. on May 4-9, 6 a.m.-6 p.m. on May 10, and opens at 6:30 a.m. on May 11.

The INDYCAR Grand Prix edition of Speedway Cars & Coffee is scheduled for the usual time: 9 a.m.-noon (ET). Complimentary coffee and donuts will be provided as always by River West Coffee & Tea and Jack’s Donuts, respectively.

“Only at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway, with the IMS Museum well-situated inside the oval and road course, can Cars & Coffee participants enjoy a morning show featuring beautiful custom and historic cars and bikes, followed by a highly-competitive IndyCar Series race,” said Jason Vansickle, IMS Museum Curator of Vehicles. “The NTT IndyCar Series and support series will be on-track all day, only a few hundred feet from the Speedway Cars & Coffee gathering site. The atmosphere will be fantastic.”

Gates open at 7:30 a.m. and track activity begins at 8:30. The stars of the NTT IndyCar Series have a 30-minute warmup session at 11:15 a.m., followed by more support series races and the Bronze Badge Grid Walk. The 85-lap INDYCAR Grand Prix starts at 3:30 p.m. You can park your hotrod or motorcycle at the Museum all day, as security will be provided.

If you’re a Cars & Coffee participant and already purchased INDYCAR GP Race Day tickets, you can buy the parking pass only at the same link: www.ims.com/carsandcoffee.

May 11 IMS Grounds Access Reminder: The INDYCAR Grand Prix on May 11 is an official event day at IMS – once we sell out the 100 Speedway Cars & Coffee spots, only pedestrian access to the lot will be available, for free, like always, but you must first purchase an event ticket to access the IMS Grounds.
