The option to list every child living in the home, or all the grandchildren (under age 18)
- Option to bring two guests per visit. (Guests must be accompanied by a member.)
- Option to add designated caregiver. (Caregiver will receive free general admission only when accompanying member children. Caregiver does not receive other member benefits and may not bring a free guest. Member may only list one caregiver at a time and may only change caregivers one time during the term of the membership.)

How do I become a member?
Memberships can be purchased in person at the Museum’s front desk, online, or by phone at 463.244.2704.
How much does a membership cost?
Pricing varies depending on the membership level. Click here to view the membership level options.
How long does a membership last?
Memberships are valid for one year, ending on the last day of the month.
For example, if you purchase your membership on January 3, 2025, your expiration date would be January 31, 2026.
When and how can I renew my membership?
You can renew your membership within two months of expiration, and one month after expiration.

Do I have to list children on my membership?
No, you do not have to list children on your membership. It is an added benefit for those member levels if you so choose.
Can my children visit with our nanny or another adult that is not a member?
Yes, children can visit with other adults that are not listed on the membership, and still use their membership benefits. However, adults not listed on the membership will be required to purchase admission and/or tour tickets.
Our Family, Family Plus and Donor Level memberships have the option to add a “designated caregiver” to their membership. Designated caregivers are considered part of the membership and receive free admission when accompanied by the member’s children.
What is a designated caregiver?
A designated caregiver is someone other than the two named individuals on the membership that can bring the member children to the Museum without the adult members. I.e. Nanny, babysitter, caregiver, etc.
The caregiver will receive free daytime general admission only when accompanying member children. The caregiver does not receive other member benefits and may not bring a free guest.
Only one designated caregiver can be listed on the membership and can be changed only once within the membership year. Designated caregivers must show I.D., the membership card, and be accompanied by the member children to receive free admission.
Are memberships transferrable?
No, memberships are non-transferrable.
Do you offer corporate memberships?

Can I purchase a membership with my Donor Advised Fund?
No, you cannot purchase a membership using a Donor Advised Fund as there are goods and services exchanged as part of the memberships.
Can I purchase a membership for someone else?
Yes, we offer gift memberships that can be purchased on behalf of someone. Click here to purchase.
How long will it take to receive my membership cards?
Physical cards will be mailed to the address on file anywhere from one to three weeks from purchase.
I lost/forgot/have not received my membership card. Can I still visit?
Yes, a photo I.D. can be shown at the front desk to receive general admission ticket(s) for the day. If you need your membership card replaced, or help downloading your digital membership card(s), you can do that by emailing members@imsmuseum.org.
Can daily admission be applied toward the price of a membership?
Yes, you can apply your general admission ticket purchase toward a membership up to 7 days after your visit. Only tickets that are applicable to the respective membership level will be applied (e.g. a single admission ticket for an Individual Plus membership)

How often can members visit?
Members can visit as often as they like. All membership levels include free unlimited admission.
Are memberships tax deductible?
A portion of all Donor Level memberships are tax deductible. More information on how much is deductible is included in your membership benefit packet.
Can I let guests use my membership card?
No. Only named individuals on the membership receive free admission. Members guests’ only receive free admission when accompanied by a cardholder and if included in the membership level.
