The IMS Museum presents a live Zoom Cast event with 1985 Indianapolis 500 Winner Danny Sullivan and                                                                           special guest moderator, IMS President, Doug Boles

Danny Sullivan can claim some unique jobs before his racing career, including lumberjack and New York City cab driver. But after receiving Jim Russell Driving School training as a 21st birthday gift, Sullivan made the most of it, debuting in IndyCar in 1982 and driving for Formula One’s Benetton-sponsored Tyrrell team in 1983, finishing fifth at Monaco.

Sullivan returned to IndyCar in 1984 with Shierson Racing, then joined Team Penske and won the 1985 Indianapolis 500 and 1988 IndyCar championship. He drove in the inaugural Brickyard 400 in 1994 and retired from IndyCar racing in 1995, enjoying a number of motorsports, automotive, and aviation-related business relationships in retirement.
